Looking Forward, Looking Back

As we look forward to 2013 and begin the planning and preparation for another summer project, with the possibility of painting at 2 more schools, and a goal to promote more prayer among partner churches its good to look back and be reminded of what we’ve accomplished.

In 2012 500 people from 20 different churches and the community came together in Albany and Jefferson to paint Waverly Elementary and Jefferson Elementary. At Waverly Elementary Serve INC hosted a family fun day and backpack giveaway that served approximately 200 families.

In 2011 600 volunteers from 29 churches spread 80 yards of bark dust, and used 500+ gallons of paint as they painted and landscaped at Sunrise and Lafayette Elementary schools.

In 2010 in preparation for Willamette Celebration churches around the area did projects all through the valley. The projects included painting Jefferson Middle School, helping at Linn Benton food share,  neighborhood clean-ups and more.

All of these projects have been done with this simple goal in mind: Show the love of God to the community through high quality acts of service.
