Before COVID-19 our plan was to work on West Albany High School for the 2020 Day of Service. Due to the governor’s mandate we were not able to do that, largely due to the limited size of groups. With that restriction andc the safety of our community in mind we decided to have a “Service Week”made of small projects which could be accomplished with much smaller groups.
We requested project ideas from churches, the Salvation Army, the City of Albany, Albany Downtown Association, Albany Parks and Recreation and GAPS. Churches were asked to pick a project and a day to do the work. That was July 8-15th.
If you were not able to serve with us then we have two groups will be returning to do more work on Saturday, August 8. Valley Christian Center will be organizing a group at to North Albany Middle School and Jesus Pursuit at Kinder Park. YOU are invited to join either group in their landscape maintenance projects.
