2012 Projects Announced

ServeINC Volunteer painting at Lafayette

On June 26, 2010 ServeINC (formerly called ISERVE) landscaped and painted the Jefferson Middle School (32,000-square-foot exterior surface). In addition, they landscaped the Jefferson Elementary School, and a nearby park. 300 workers showed up and all work was completed in 5 hours (excluding a small cleanup crew after the event).  After that event was over the Jefferson school district estimated that the project would have cost them $40,000 dollars

The group gathered at Lafayette for instructions. On July 16, 2011 ServeINC painted the exterior of Sunrise Elementary and Lafayette elementary schools in Albany.  In addition, they landscaped both the schools and spread playground chips under the playground equipment.  This project saved the Albany school district over $100,000 dollars.

This year ServeINC will again be working at two area schools. The 2012 ServeINC Day of Service will be held on July 14th. Albany area churches are invited to help paint and landscape at Waverly Elementary School, while Jefferson churches will be painting the interior of Jefferson Elementary. The ServeINC team is also working on putting together a neighborhood Kids Fest for Waverly Elementary.

Additionally a weekly time of pray held by the House of Prayer and Celebration has been scheduled for every Sat between now and the project date. See our Prayer page for more info.

We hope you’ll be able to join us in the Day of Service as we continue to do good works for our community.
